SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager your responsibility will be the key point of contact between a retailer and its Trade (retailers/merchants and wholesalers) and Project (Architects, Developers, Quantity Surveyors) Channel clients.

POSITION INFO:

This role is responsible for identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships and strategic key account management.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Min 3 Yrs. knowledge of dealing with retailers/merchants and wholesalers
  • Min 3 yrs. knowledge of dealing with professionals, i.e. Architects, Developers, Quantity Surveyors
  • Min 3 yrs. in a specification’s environment
  • Must have strong background knowledge in plumbing and construction
  • Good knowledge of all legislation related to building and construction
  • Matric OR Equivalent
  • Qualification in sales and marketing is advantageous.
  • 3-5 Yrs. experience in sourcing new business opportunities.
  • 3-5 Yrs. in sales and marketing environment
  • Valid driver’s license- unendorsed code 8
  • Must have in-depth product knowledge
  • Experience in direct calling on prospective clients
  • Must have a strong background in marketing and sales
  • Must have an understanding of the sales process
  • Computer system knowledge: Microsoft Excel & Word, MS Project, MS Powerpoint
  • SAP knowledge
  • Customer support and service experience is essential
  • Must have sales forecasting and planning experience
  • Must have very strong selling/marketing presentation skills
