Business Developer

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, research and engage with prospective clients.
• Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
• Understand client needs, pain points and business challenges.
• Deliver engaging product demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Develop tailored proposals and sales pitches.
• Convert prospects into new clients and achieve agreed sales targets.
• Support clients through the onboarding process.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Work closely with internal sales and other departments to drive growth.
• Stay up to date with product developments, sales trends and best practices.
• Attend client meetings and engage with customers at their premises when required

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• A tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing or a related field is advantageous.
• At least 2 years' experience in sales or business development.
• Experience within courier, logistics, eCommerce or SaaS will be highly advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Good time management and organisational ability.
• Comfortable working under pressure and against sales targets.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• A proactive, results-driven and commercially minded approach.
