A leading, premier financial services and insurance group in South Africa is seeking a dynamic and strategic Broker Regional Manager. This organisation drives market-leading long- and short-term insurance brands, leveraging technological innovation and service excellence.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead a high-performing team of Broker Consultants to drive profitable growth, expand market share, and cultivate long-term strategic partnerships across the traditional independent and corporate broker sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Drive tactical and operational business plans to meet sales targets, foster employee engagement, and build a high-performance team culture aligned with group objectives.

• Broker Partner Management: Develop and implement relationship strategies for complex, high-value corporate and independent Broker Partners, serving as the senior regional ambassador.

• Business Development: Identify and secure new high-potential broker distribution channels while setting clear performance objectives for relationship consultants.

• Sales Analytics & Reporting: Interpret sales data, identify market trends, and report actionable insights to execute the overall Broker Strategy.

• Operational & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to internal policies, FAIS/FSCA regulatory requirements, and industry codes of conduct across all broker activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Essential). Relevant Short-Term Insurance qualification (e.g., Business Insurance) (Essential). Regulatory Examination (RE5) (Essential). A B.Com or relevant business-related qualification is highly advantageous.

• Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated Broker Account Management experience within the Financial Services / Short-Term Insurance sector (Essential).

• Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience managing a Key Account / Broker Consultant sales team (Essential).

• Core Competencies: Exceptional commercial acumen, high-level relationship management, deep regulatory understanding, and strong analytical/presentation skills.
