POSITION INFO:
Role Overview

Our client is seeking a highly driven and experienced Broker Consultant to join their team in the Western Cape. This role requires a professional who is passionate about medical insurance and has strong knowledge of medical aid products. The ideal candidate will play a key role in growing their broker portfolio, driving sales, and supporting intermediaries with tailored insurance solutions that include medical-linked products.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of insurance brokers in the region.
• Drive the sale of insurance products, with a strong focus on products that integrate or complement medical aid offerings.
• Educate brokers on the client's product suite, benefits, and value propositions.
• Provide ongoing training, marketing support, and technical assistance to brokers.
• Achieve monthly targets and performance metrics aligned with business growth objectives.
• Conduct regular field visits to brokers (travel throughout Western Cape required).
• Identify opportunities to expand our client's presence within the broker and medical aid markets.
• Assist with new business development and onboarding of new broker partners.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a broker consultant or similar intermediary-facing role within the insurance or medical aid industry.
• Strong knowledge of medical aid products and how they integrate with or complement short-term insurance offerings.
• FAIS compliant (relevant RE5 and necessary credits).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (travel throughout the province is essential).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
