SUMMARY:

Overall Responsibility: The Brand Coordinator will oversee maintaining the brand health and marketing. He/she supports the Head of Creative with project management to ensure that marketing initiatives are completed efficiently and effectively. This role oversees the development of ongoing advertising materials (print and digital). This position requires you to work closely with the Marketing department of Brazil and alongside various business partners/stakeholders (both internal & external). Assist in developing & executing the digital and traditional marketing strategy.
Ensuring that this is in alignment with the Corporate Identity of Brazil. Responsible for ensuring that all digital assets are appropriately utilized and ensuring that we communicate appropriately to our customers across all digital channels in South Africa.

POSITION INFO:
1. Project Support

  • Have a full understanding of all projects being worked on to properly manage resources and timelines, such as promotions, partnership events, etc.
  • Formulate and strategize Havaianas SA marketing plan.
  • Support Senior Finance and Group Operations Manager as well as the Head of Creative with project management on projects including events, website design, collateral, marketing campaigns, email marketing, content development, etc.
  • Support the Head of Creative in coordinating details around shoots i.e., finding talent, coordinating shoot times at locations, on-site support day-of, etc.
  • Provide admin support for Marketing-related meetings including but not limited to scheduling, creating agendas, printing documents, note-taking and sending recaps.
  • Execute project management and the creation of a wide range of project deliverables including collateral, traditional advertising campaigns, email marketing, content development, etc.
  • Have the eye of a hawk when it comes to copyediting, ensuring that all creative materials are buttoned up and client-ready.
  • Develop insightful monthly performance reports for clients and set up new projects for time tracking and saving materials.

2. Merchandise Coordination
  • Negotiate costs and sourcing new items, picking up products, and assist with delivering products and merchandising the stores.
  • Daily/weekly communication between independents to ensure proper execution of all merchandising.
  • Maintain and follow up on timely tasks and action calendar for merchandising.
  • Experience with retail brands to plan and execute Marketing and Merchandising plans.
  • Manage Key Accounts.
  • FMOT (First moment of truth) – Visual merchandising and store merchandising.
3. Marketing and Branding
  • To work with the Head of Creative to drive and align Marketing initiatives. 
  • Work with Head of Creative to set, monitor and analyse metrics and KPIs, reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with creativity; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
  • Maintain inventory of all brand-related assets and materials, merch, event tech, and other event materials involved in providing positive brand experiences.
  • Maintain event calendar while coordinating logistics from start to finish for in-studio and digital experiences that support overall company objectives, while staying within a budget.
  • Assist in creating messaging and content necessary to successfully execute marketing initiatives.
  • Use existing email templates to update copy and images to deploy emails.
  • At times, attend events to execute set up and break down, and serve as a brand representative.
  • Ongoing planning and budget management for Marketing.
  • Ongoing record keeping of budget for the Marketing.
4. Email and Paid Media
  • Support in email, using existing templates to update copy and images on a regular basis.
  • Copyedit and post blog articles to client websites.
  • Support in the trafficking of paid media assets.
  • Point of Sale Marketing (POS).
  • Assist in Website/E-commerce development and maintenance.
  • Copywriting.
  • Implement marketing strategies & align all communication with marketing strategy.

5. Partnerships Coordination
  • Field incoming partnership requests, collaboration/opportunities and evaluate relevance, in-take partner samples, working with Managing Director and Senior Finance and Operations Manager for feedback.
  • Influencer management.
  • Work with internal team to ensure partners are receiving top Havaianas SA experience, i.e., following up on account creation, organizing giveaways, etc.

7. Ad Hoc Tasks
  • Develop and maintain “look and feel” of the store;
  • Staff uniforms/badges etc.
  • Maintain the store music, smell, and visuals;
  • Create Shopping bags etc.
  • Will be asked to do stock-taking as part of team engagement during peak season.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • The person will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience as a marketing coordinator/ junior brand manager or a similar role and will have strong project management experience.
  • A passion for retail and marketing is essential.
  • Bachelor''s Degree in Marketing.
  • Ability to run projects according to basic project management processes and protocols.
  • Experience working with project plans and project management tools.
  • A high level of attention to detail and great organizational abilities are a prerequisite to succeeding in this role.
  • Retail experience preferable.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Deadline-driven.
