Job Title: Bookkeeper

Our client, in the Quick Service Restaurant Industry, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team based in Centurion. This role will be responsible for the full bookkeeping function up to balance sheets. The ideal candidate will be a Master multi-tasker who works with speed and accuracy who thrives in a high pressure, fast-paced working environment.  
 
Required Qualifications and Working Experience:

• Diploma in Bookkeeping
• 5+ years’ experience bookkeeping to Trial Balance
• Proficiency in PASTEL
• Full Bookkeeping function up to Balance Sheets
• VAT & eFiling experience is essential
• Experience in cash sales
• Experience with working with multiple companies simultaneously

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function for roughly 8-10 stores
• Capturing invoices and processing payments for suppliers
• Invoicing and capturing of debtor payments
• Reconciling and processing of the cashbooks
• Capturing and processing the daily expenses (cash, credit cards, Mr D, Uber Eats and online orders)
• Posting journals
• Reconciling control accounts
• Processing and submitting VAT
• Printing the VAT 201 reports and load payments on eFiling
• Receiving, printing and capturing all food cost invoices, and ensuring it balances to the main statement
• Loading the payment on the bank
• Filing and binding
• Preparing audit files
• Admin relating to opening a store as well as store admin
• General ad-hoc duties as required
