SUMMARY:
Our client in the Distribution Sector requires the services of Bookkeeper for a half-day position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The employee will be employed on part time basis as a Bookkeeper. In this role the employee will perform:
 
  • All duties required of a Bookkeeper to ensure that the company’s financials are in order inclusive of the following:
  • Review, check and authorise creditors and EFT payments
  • Responsible for full Creditors and Debtors function
  • Payroll – weekly and monthly
Accounts receivable :
  1. Reconciliation of debtors statements
  2. Investigate any claims
  3. Resolving any client queries
  4. Handing over of delinquent payers
  5. Passing of credit notes
  6. Capturing of receipts to Pastel
  • Age analysis to bank statement reconciliation
  • Assist with external audits
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Processing of month end journals
  • Banking profile management
  • Prepare cash flow projections
  • Pastel control and master data maintenance
  • EMP201 submissions, UIF, PAYE and SARS
  • Online banking
  • Reconciling of accounts
  • Report financial information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare and provide financial reports to external agencies as required e.g. auditors, SASFIN, banks.
  • Maintain debt records and provide information to debt advisors
  • Develop, implement and monitor internal controls
  • Daily cashbook capturing and allocations of debtors and creditors
  • Petty cash (disbursements / replenished / reconciled)
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank account
  • Banking - loading of payment runs (once off and monthly)
  • Banking profile management (adding and maintaining all beneficiaries)
  • Daily updating of cash flow statements
  • Perform related duties as assigned
