Bookkeeper to Trial Balance

SUMMARY:
Are you an immediately available hands-on Bookkeeper who is eager to learn and grow in the right opportunity?
 
Our client based in Athlone requires a detail-driven, organised individual to join their team and take ownership of books to trial balance, general ledger and monthly financial processes. Opportunity to work alongside the Director learning new skills with their successful company.
 
We require you minimum 3 years experience with a relevant finance qualification.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, plus relevant qualification
• Three years’ experience as an accounts assistant
• Experience working in an accounting firm preparing books to Trial Balance preferred
• Excellent English verbal & written communication skills, good customer skills & team player
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
• Attention to detail/analytical and ability to adapt with good time management skills
• A pro-active learner who takes responsibility for own development
• An individual who understands the importance of meeting the business’ needs
• Experience in Omni accounting software will be advantageous

• Creating and managing the monthly financial processes
• Update the daily cash book
• General ledger accounts, ensuring correct allocations
• Drafting of Quarterly Management Accounts
• Assisting with creditor and debtor control tasks
• Banking
• Managing inter-company transfers
• Processing of journals
• Phoning and following up on accounts
• Managing queries
• General office administration duties (filing, answering telephone)
• Assist senior staff with ad-hoc duties
