Our client is a respected and growing manufacturer known for delivering quality products and maintaining high operational standards. They are seeking a Bookkeeper to Balance Sheet who can take ownership of the full finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy manufacturing environment.

This role offers exposure to stock, inventory, production-related transactions, and month-end reporting, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the financial heartbeat of a manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full bookkeeping function up to balance sheet.
• Process supplier invoices, customer receipts, and daily cashbook transactions.
• Perform bank, creditor, debtor, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and ensure the integrity of stock-related transactions.
• Process VAT returns and assist with statutory submissions.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting, including audit preparation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company financial controls and accounting standards.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Bookkeeper to Balance Sheet.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, or production environment is essential.
• Strong understanding of inventory, stock reconciliations, and manufacturing finance processes.
• Proven experience preparing month-end accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience on ERP systems such as Syspro, Sage Evolution, SAP, Pastel, or similar manufacturing ERP systems.
• Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict month-end deadlines.
