SUMMARY:
A small IT Consulting concern, based in Irene, has an opportunity for a Bookkeeper/ Office Administrator to join their team. Previous experience in Bookkeeping, Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Bookkeeping up to Trial Balance
  • Drafting of Financial statements
  • SARS queries and SARS audits
  • Provisional and annual tax for company/ies
  • Sage partner capturing of accounting records
  • Submitting of VAT / PAYE / IT14 / IT12 / IRP5s and relevant recons
  • Drafting of Management Accounts
  • Capturing Purchase Orders 
  • Capture debtor and creditor invoices
  • Reconcile bank statement against relevant transactions 
  • Following up on all outstanding debtors
  • Accounting related filing
  • Administrative duties including phone calls and drafting of letters
  • E-filing (VAT and PAYE submissions)
  • Personal assistant to both Directors
Minimum requirements:
  • Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll (must be 100% proficient) Sage is essential
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Payroll/ Debtors and Creditors/ similar role
  • Bookkeeping experience or experience working at an IT firm highly advantageous
  • Own transport and driver’s licence
  • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • This role would suit a mature female
  • A relevant bookkeeping or financial accounting qualification
  • Computer literate on MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint and Sage Pastel
