Bookkeeper / Accountant, Rosebank – R 300 000 CTC

With quarterly company activities (like quad-biking, river rafting to name a few), monthly events & awesome working hours (08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, & 08:00 – 14:00 on Fridays) & a team big on technology, who wouldn’t want to be a part of this modern setup? The role could also be suited to someone who seeks a half day position due to family commitments

Minimum requirements:

Essential:

• Diploma in accounting / bookkeeping or equivalent (experience may take preference)
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience 
• Pastel / Xero / SageOne / VIP Payroll experience (at least one is a must)
• Payroll knowledge
• Willing & able to travel to clients in & around Johannesburg

Advantageous:

• Previous experience in an audit / accounting firm 

Responsibilities:

• Capturing invoices and receipts from the bank statements
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns on a monthly basis for various clients
• Preparation of VAT and Payroll reconciliations
• Processing payroll and submitting EMP201s and EMP501s
• Preparing Management Accounts for the clients
• Migrating clients from accounting packages to Cloud Accounting

Competencies & attitudes:

• Ability to work under pressure and deadline driven. Month end is a pressured time period
• Required to travel to client premises occasionally – position is office based; however certain clients require us to work from their offices
• Capable of reviewing own work and that of others (This more of when the manager goes out and can identify issues or improvements)

Remuneration & benefits:

• R 240 000 - R 300 000 CTC
• Great working hours
• Open for those willing & able to work half days
