SUMMARY:
A well-established business in Knysna is looking for experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
Processing of books on accounting software for clients
Liaison with clients and SARS
Maintaining correspondence files with clients
General filing and admin
General accounting functions including preparation of monthly management accounts
Submission of VAT and EMP returns
Processing of payroll monthly

Required qualifications:
Matric with accounting as a subject
Qualification in bookkeeping (Diploma or Certificate) or studying towards qualification in bookkeeping

Required experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in a bookkeeping role
Experience in an accounting practice will be beneficial
Experience working in Xero (qualification as Xero certified advisor will be beneficial)
Experience processing payroll will be beneficial

Skills required:
Very strong administration skills
Attention to detail
Deadline driven
Ability to take initiative
Capable of working independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
Practical experience in dealing with SARS will be beneficial
Computer literate (including Sage accounting, Xero, Pastel and Payroll software)
Must be able to communicate directly with clients in a professional and confident manner
