JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, in the financial sector, and based in Knysna is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper.

Required Qualifications:

Matric with accounting as subject
Qualification in bookkeeping (Diploma or certificate) or studying towards a qualification in bookkeeping

Required Experience:

At least three years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
Experience in an accounting practice will be beneficial (not required)
Experience working in Xero and qualification as Xero certified advisor will be beneficial (not required)
Experience processing payroll will be beneficial (not required)

Duties:

Processing of books on accounting software for clients
Liaison with clients and SARS
Maintaining correspondence files with clients
General filing and admin
General accounting functions including preparation of monthly management accounts
Submission of VAT and EMP returns
Processing of payroll monthly
