SUMMARY:

TEMPORARY BOOKKEEPER

POSITION INFO:

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.
• Process and capture invoices and financial transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage debtors and creditors administration.
• Perform bank allocations and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Assist with customer statements and payment follow-ups.
• Process and assist with payroll administration where required.
• Assist with statutory submissions and SARS-related administration.
• Assist with VAT and EMP201/EMP501 submissions where required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with general administrative duties related to the finance function.
• Provide support with financial reporting and month-end administration.
• Ensure all financial information is captured accurately and timeously.
• Work independently and meet deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or financial administration role.
• Experience with invoicing, reconciliations, debtors and creditors.
• Experience with payroll will be advantageous.
• Experience with Sage, Pastel or similar accounting software.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Own transport would be advantageous.
• Must be immediately available.
