Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper - Knysna

Our client is looking for a self-motivated and driven bookkeeper to join their establishment.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Capturing and processing invoices
• Bank Reconciliations
• Petty Cash management
• Payroll preparation support
• Maaintaining ledgers and preparing trial balance
• Assisting with VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns
• Filing and record-keeping
• Work alongside accountants as needed
• prepare financial reports and statements

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Matric with accounting / mathematics required
• A bookkeeping or accounting certificate / diploma NQF4 or 5
• 2-3 years' experience in accounting / bookkeeping - including clerical or internship work
• Computer skills - SAGE / Pastel MS Office (Excel)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans

• Strong understanding of accounting principles debits / credits / trial balance
• Attention tod etail and accuracy
• Ability to reconcile accounts and process invoices
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication - written and verbal
• Ability to work within a team environment
