SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper - Knysna

Our client is looking for a self-motivated and driven bookkeeper to join their establishment.

Duties include but not limited to:

Capturing and processing invoices
Bank Reconciliations
Petty Cash management
Payroll preparation support
Maintaining ledgers and preparing trial balance
Assisting with VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns
Filing and record-keeping
Work alongside accountants as needed
prepare financial reports and statements

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

Matric with accounting / mathematics required
A bookkeeping or accounting certificate / diploma NQF4 or 5
2-3 years' experience in accounting / bookkeeping - including clerical or internship work
Computer skills - SAGE / Pastel MS Office (Excel)
Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Skills:

Strong understanding of accounting principles debits / credits / trial balance
Attention tod etail and accuracy
Ability to reconcile accounts and process invoices
Good organisational and time management skills
Strong communication - written and verbal
Ability to work within a team environment
professional and trustworthy
