SUMMARY:
Senior Bookkeeper required to join a global company in Ballito

POSITION INFO:
The role involves accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data, ensuring the integrity of customer and supplier account records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Record daily financial transactions using accounting software
Manage customer accounts, ensuring correct allocation of payments and account accuracy
Prepare and send customer statements (approximately 15 per day)
Process supplier invoices and ensure timeous data capture
Prepare and process payments on various banking platforms, checking for accuracy
Reconcile bank statements to accounting records
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts
Review foreign sales for VAT export compliance

Requirements:

Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance
2 - 3 years relevant experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (advantageous)
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong organizational and time management skills
High level of accountability, integrity, and confidentiality
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
Clear and professional communication skills
Tech savvy and adaptable to new systems
Collaborative team player
