Bookkeeper

The bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing trial balances. This role involves reconciling accounts, managing statutory returns, and supporting audits, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger

• Reconcile bank statements, creditors, and debtors

• Prepare trial balances and assist in financial reporting

• Process transactions using software such as Pastel

• Experience with SARS EMP501's

• Support year-end audits and ensure organized recordkeeping

Requirements:

• Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel experience is preferred)

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Experience working with Auditors will be advantageous

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• General knowledge of tax laws and compliance standards
