POSITION INFO:
Junior Bookkeeper roles don’t usually expose candidates to complexity early on. This one does.
This position is built for someone who has completed SAICA articles and now wants hands-on ownership of real numbers, real entities, and real consequences. It’s not a training seat. It’s a proving ground.
Operating within a multi-entity, cross-border environment, this role offers depth across trial balance, foreign currencies, reconciliations, and compliance. Ideal for someone technically strong, detail-obsessed, and ready to step out of a purely supportive finance function.

Duties:

• Full trial balance responsibility across multiple cross-border entities
• Processing of customer and supplier invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Capturing bank transactions and managing petty cash reconciliations
• Preparing and processing payment batches in multiple currencies
• Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
• Working closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Completed SAICA articles (non-negotiable)
• Relevant degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.

 
 
Experience:

• Exposure to trial balance preparation
• Experience within multi-entity or cross-border environments (advantageous)
• Hands-on use of accounting or ERP systems

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Pastel, or similar ERPs).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle complexity without constant supervision.
