BOILERMAKER (TEMP CONTRACT) - EAST LONDON
We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements

Matric with Mathematics and Science
-
Technical Qualification N3 or higher
-
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial environments
Key Skills
-
Physical fitness: Strength, dexterity, and stamina for physically demanding tasks like lifting and maneuvering heavy metal components

Technical expertise: Reading drawings, cutting (oxy/acetylene) welding (ARC, TIG, GAS), steel fabrication, use of hand and power tools, rigging, and measuring

Work ethic & safety: Strong personal safety awareness, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or in a team, willingness to work after hours or weekends if required
Additional Requirements

The successful candidate will undergo a practical workshop test at a time suitable to the foreman. This will take approximately 4 hours and must be completed in the applicant’s own time

Applicants must present their own tools for inspection before any contract is signed

Safety boots and overalls must also be provided by the applicant, as this is a temporary position

The company will not supply tools
