About the role
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Blasting & Cementation Supervisor to oversee production activities within its fabrication environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning, materials management, stock control and production performance, ensuring that products meet required quality standards and are delivered on time.
This role will suit an experienced production supervisor with strong organisational, analytical and technical capabilities who can effectively coordinate people, materials and production requirements.
Purpose Of The Role
The Blasting and Cementation supervisor is responsible for materials management
and stock control ensure products meets Company quality standard and delivered in
time. He is also responsible to analyse performance and reconcile material usage.
Key Performance Areas
(This is not an exhaustive list of functions to be carried out).
To perform the following tasks;
Daily Production Planning for blasting and cementing
Weekly plan for aluminium cutting
Monitoring plan vs actual on a daily basis an ensuring optimal efficiency and zero loss to
production.
Ensuring compliance to SOP.
Preparing daily and monthly MIS.
Ensuring availability of all material, including consumables.
Ensuring manpower availability in all shifts.
Ensure good housekeeping and safe work practices.
Monitor raw material usage by:
recording rejects/rework
Weekly stock take
Interdepartmental communications
Liaise with planning head for daily/weekly planning
Liaise with Stores/Fabrication for material requirement
Liaise with Maintenance for machine upkeeping
EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
NQF Level 5/6 in Engineering or a related field/
Thorough understanding of mechanical drawings
3 years relevant experience
Good at Excel
Autocad experience would be added advantage
Knowledge of TQM / 5S / QC tools would be advantage
