Billing & Practice Administrator

SUMMARY:
Job Description:
A busy allied health practice environment is seeking a capable and personable Receptionist to play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This position is central to supporting both patients and clinicians through efficient administration, coordination, and front-desk support.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, sound administrative ability, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing incoming calls and patient bookings using MedEdi billing software
• Administering Workmen’s Compensation (WCA) documentation and processes
• Handling petty cash and coordinating stationery and grocery orders
• Assisting therapists with correspondence, reports, and general communication
• Following up on outstanding or incomplete documentation
• Capturing and maintaining therapist statistics
• Liaising with therapists, doctors, and external service providers
• Providing general reception and administrative support

• Previous experience in a medical or allied health environment would be advantageous
• Proficiency in MedEdi and knowledge of COIDA processes is highly preferred
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Professional communication skills and a patient-focused approach
• Own transport essential
