Bid Officer

SUMMARY:
Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of client for a highly motivated and detail-oriented BID Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, preparing, and submitting compliant, high-quality tender proposals to secure new business opportunities.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
• Post-matric qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in tender administration, bid coordination, or procurement compliance, preferably within SOEs, parastatals, or the private sector.
• Strong knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, PPPFA, and National Treasury procurement regulations.
• Proven track record of managing the full tender lifecycle.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Manage the end-to-end tender and RFP process, including attending briefing sessions and coordinating submissions.
• Compile and quality-check bid documents in line with PFMA, MFMA, PPPFA, and National Treasury regulations.
• Ensure all statutory and compliance documentation (CSD registration, SBD forms, B-BBEE certification, tax compliance, etc.) is up to date.
• Manage vendor applications and portal registrations for new opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, technical, operations) to compile professional and compliant proposals.
• Maintain a comprehensive bid tracker and report on progress, outcomes, and lessons learned.
• Support continuous improvement of bid processes and templates.
