SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
The BDO is responsible for monitoring alarms and CCTV systems, reporting incidents, and ensuring effective communication with operational teams, clients, and local authorities. The role requires high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)

PSIRA Grade C registration
-
Computer literacy
-
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong telephone etiquette
-
Technical knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, and two-way radios (beneficial)
-
Ability to analyze body language and risk behavior (beneficial)
Key Duties:

Reporting:
-
Record and hand over incidents in the Occurrence Book (OB)
-
Submit weekly and monthly reports including details on alarms, incidents, and site security
-
Notify relevant personnel of issues and follow up on resolutions
-
Monitoring & Response:
-
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems 24/7
-
Evaluate suspicious activity and dispatch the closest response unit
-
Coordinate with operational teams and escalate critical issues
-
Maintain oversight of CPI vehicle movements and operational systems
-
General:

Liaise with clients, management, and staff
-
Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately
-
Respond to client-reported incidents and coordinate task team deployment
