POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading the overall operation of the bars and ensuring consistently high beverage and service standards.
• Managing stock levels and ensuring bars are fully prepared and operating efficiently.
• Creating a welcoming and personalised experience by understanding and responding to guest preferences.
• Responding promptly and professionally to guest feedback.
• Maintaining exceptional hygiene, health, and safety standards.
• Ensuring operational responsibilities are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
• Leading, training, motivating, and supervising the bar team to achieve outstanding performance.
• Coaching bartenders and bar staff in service excellence, cocktail preparation, beverage knowledge, and guest engagement.
• Working collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless integration of bar services across the operation.
• Providing constructive feedback, directing service, and driving performance and results.
• Keeping up to date with beverage trends and contributing innovative ideas for cocktail development and new beverage experiences.
• Using your sales ability and commercial awareness to maximise opportunities and deliver exceptional results.

• A Hospitality qualification from an accredited academic institution at NQF Level 5–7.
• A minimum of 3 years' cocktail and bartending experience within an upmarket bar or hospitality environment.
• Proven mixology experience and a genuine passion for beverages.
• WSET Level 1 would be a strong advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and other beverages.
• An understanding of current beverage and hospitality market trends.
• Experience developing and conceptualising cocktails.
• Strong team leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS365 and Micros.
• The ability to plan, prioritise, collaborate, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong commercial and sales focus, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive results.
