BUYER (FMCG / RETAIL / HEALTH CARE)

NORTHERN SUBURBS, CAPE TOWN

Our retail client has an exciting and new opportunity to offer experienced candidates.

The purpose of this role is to buy effectively to ensure constant sales growth and an increase in gross margins, coupled with necessary advertisement spend recoupment.

This position falls under Health Care

The ideal candidate must have a passion for procurement and possess an entrepreneurial and merchant-style of thinking.

Must have relevant degree and min of 3 Years of current buying experience within a retail /wholesale /FMCG environment a MUST

To maintain updated trading terms by:

Analysing sales of different products to ensure optimal ranging
Determine trends related to changes in market/shortcomings
Liaise with suppliers
Negotiate trading terms to ensure maximum revenue and maintain a set GP  
Manage supplier relationship
Ensure availability of stock / Knowledge and understanding of healthcare related products
Knowledge and understanding of Financial indicators
Excellent communication skills Sound analytical skills Good negotiation skills
Computer literacy - MS Office & SAP experience will be advantageous
Ability to build strong supplier relationships
Project management skills
