BUILDING QUALITY OFFICER

SUMMARY:
Responsible to ensure that work on site is carried out to the client’s standards, specification and schedule. Monitor the work of contractors that undertake projects for their employer or client. Ensure that the correct materials and workmanship are used, and that quality work and value for money is delivered.

POSITION INFO:

Quality Assurance and Monitoring

• Visit sites regularly as required to observe and assess the project progress, quality and project performance.
• Ensure that quality of the project deliverables conform to company policies and project specification.
• Knowledge of the measurement of the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments with contractors

Project Administration

• Complete all project documentation for project assessment and quality of work executed to project specification and submit to Project manager periodically.
• Report Daily on quality and quantity of project deliverables
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as first point of contact with contractors and other stakeholders
• Maintain good working relationships and interaction with contractors and beneficiaries

Stock control

• Implement and maintain an effective stock control system in liaison with contractors

Responsible for own career development

• Upskill continuously on organizational and market-related knowledge, company internal processes and procedures and current project management trends
• Execute and deliver on personal development plans
• Attend job related training as required
• Ensure company vision, mission and values are reflected in all job outcomes
