POSITION INFO:
We have a fantastic opporunity fo a Diesel Mechanic at a Automotive company in Potchefstroom.
Duties:
- Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently.
- Ensure vehicles and machinery remain in safe, optimal working condition.
Requirements:
- NQF 4 / N1–N3 with 3–5 years’ mechanic experience.
- Trade Test qualification (Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic).
- Hands-on experience with forklifts, telehandlers, yellow machines, cranes, trucks, trailers, tractors, TMM machines, and engine rebuilds.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and auto-electrical systems.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak).
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to work afterhours when required.
