WE ARE HIRING: Automation Technician Intern
Location: Bloemfontein | Salary: Market Related | Position Type: Internship

We are looking for a technically minded, reliable and results-driven individual with a passion for automation and control systems. We''re seeking an Automation Technician Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in PLC programming, installation and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with PLC programming, troubleshooting and system modifications
• Supporting installation and commissioning of automation and control systems
• Performing electrical wiring and panel installations
• Testing, inspecting and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment
• Assisting with fault-finding on electrical and automation systems
• Interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and PLC logic
• Supporting preventative maintenance activities
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and programming records
• Participating in continuous improvement and automation projects

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4
• National Diploma, Trade Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related field
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Delta, Omron, etc.)
• Understanding of electrical control systems and industrial instrumentation
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Reliable and good at prioritising, with strong attention to detail
• Valid South African driver''s license and own transport
