SUMMARY:
We are seeking a hands-on Automation Technician with strong technical and problem-solving skills. This role combines design, installation, commissioning, and field support of advanced automation and digital systems, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies across South Africa and the Southern African Development Community region.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Provide technical support for automation and digital system solutions
Assist with system design and technical drawings using AutoCAD
Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of automation systems
Assemble and wire control panels, dosing units, communication modules, and protection devices
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site
Train clients and end-users on system operation and maintenance

Skills & Experience:

Three to five years’ experience working with electrical, electronic, or mechatronic systems
Experience with extra-low voltage systems, variable speed drives, programmable logic controllers, and industrial control environments
Strong understanding of computer hardware, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Exposure to hydraulics and flow-related systems is advantageous
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Inventor is beneficial
Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently

Qualifications:

National Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering
Qualified electrician
Valid driver’s licence
Valid passport and willingness to travel within South Africa and the Southern African Development Community region
