A world-renowned industrial automation company is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support and grow its footprint across South Africa. With innovation at its core and a product range spanning sensors, RFID, connectivity systems, and industrial networking solutions, this is a role for a technically sharp, commercially driven professional who can bridge the gap between engineering expertise and sales success.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or similar
• 2–5 years’ experience in technical sales, application engineering, or industrial automation
• Proven ability to build technical solutions and meet/exceed sales targets
• Strong knowledge of sensors, RFID, PLCs, industrial networking, and automation systems
• Willingness to travel for client visits, assessments, and trade events

• Support clients in the automotive, logistics, and manufacturing sectors with tailored automation solutions
• Conduct on-site consultations and develop strong technical-commercial relationships
• Design and propose customized systems using advanced automation technologies
• Prepare technical quotes, specs, and costings for client presentations
• Partner with the sales team to uncover new business and grow market share
• Deliver post-sales support and technical training to ensure long-term customer success
• Keep updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
