SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Area: Sandton

Children’s Ages: 13-16 years

Duties: General care/supervision, age-appropriate stimulation/ activities. Take to extra murals, prep snacks/lunch.

Requirements

Childcare:

• Preparing children for school each day
• Assisting with school support and homework supervision
• Engaging with children regarding their daily needs and requirements.
• Packing daily lunches and snacks
• Ensuring readiness for school daily

Household Tasks:

• Light housekeeping duties related to the children
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• General Assistance:
• Supporting parents with day-to-day errands
• Providing additional childcare support as needed
• Assisting with flexible tasks in and around the home

Requirements:

• Friendly, responsible, and adaptable
• Experience in childcare and teaching/tutoring
• Strong verbal communication with children and parents; confident coordinating with therapists, teachers, and extended team members.
• Skilled at creating and following structured routines, managing appointments, and balancing multiple tasks
• Nonsmoker
• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child-caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license essential
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document
