POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Lead and manage audit and independent review engagements from planning to finalisation.
Review audit files, annual financial statements, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and development support to audit staff and trainees.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted business advisor.
Identify audit risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for process improvement.
Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
Ensure compliance with relevant auditing standards, accounting frameworks, and firm methodologies.
Collaborate with directors and senior leadership on client service delivery and strategic initiatives.
Review complex accounting treatments and resolve technical audit matters.
Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement across audit engagements.
Monitor team performance and contribute to the development of future audit talent within the firm.
Support the firm's growth by delivering exceptional client service and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience managing audits within a professional services or audit firm environment.
Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and assurance engagements.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and reviewing the work of junior professionals.
Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of SME business environments.
Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
Bilingual in Afrikaans and English

Qualification:
Completed SAICA Articles.
CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous but is not essential.
Relevant post-articles audit experience within a public practice environment.
