SUMMARY:
My client is seeking an Audio Visual Assistant on a 6 month’s contract to be based at a Conferencing Centre. The incumbent will attend to service calls for clients and provide first line technical problem resolution related to audio and visual equipment during conferences and any other functions. The position is based in Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications, skills and experience

Minimum qualification is a Matric certificate with at least two years’ technical experience as an Audio Visual Assistant.
A tertiary qualification in Audio Visual or Sound technologies will be advantageous

Responsibilities include:

Effective coordination, execution and completion of client services calls on the following:
- Investigates client complaints, testing equipment where necessary and resolve problems
- Maintain a high level of service and rapport with customers
- Set-up and test audio visual equipment in venues in the required standards
Provide ongoing support for audio visual equipment supplied during event
Ensure that all service documents and installation actions are completed by submitting forms, reports, logs and records and complete weekly venue and equipment checklists and report ongoing maintenance requirements
Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules
Participate and assist in the planning and execution of all projects related to the service department
Establish and maintain sound relationship with internal and external stakeholders
