Associate Dispute Resolution - Legal

Responsibilities include:

• Consistently providing excellent and ethical legal advice with appropriate supervision
• Reviewing and drafting opinions, prospects of success analyses, court and other legal documents with a meticulous attention to detail
• Conducting in-depth legal research and reporting
• Briefing counsel, ensuring that matters are enrolled appropriately and attending to court and other judicial hearings
• Ensuring that tasks are dealt with promptly, in a cost effective and efficient manner
• Attending upon clients to take instructions and advising on the most appropriate course of action to meet clients’ needs; taking appropriate action in executing clients’ instructions in a timely manner
• Dealing with matters appropriately, including communication with clients, legal and other professionals over the telephone, by email and in meetings both face-to-face and by video
• Prioritising your workload, using the firm accounting software to maintain accurate records of time spent on daily activities, ensuring that bills are presented on time and that agreed procedures within the firm relating to case management and file control are adhered to

Qualifications and Experience Admitted Attorney (PQE 2-4)

• Experience in Superior Court dispute resolution generally but a particular interest in the areas of Regulatory practice, Administrative Law, Medical Law, Mineral  Law, Corporate and Commercial litigation
• Right of appearance in the High Court will be an advantage
• Excellent academic background
• Experience from a relevant law firm environment
