SUMMARY:
As a member of this dynamic team, the primary focus of your role is to track and process all new claims, chase requirements and general administration within the claims business unit.

You’ll have to keep your finger on the pulse of internal service level agreements to make sure that we achieve the agreed targets and turnaround times

You’ll work closely with members in the Individual Life claims team, external stakeholders and may also be involved or interact with other internal teams to resolve a process or activity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Your knowledge:
- Sound Business and Operational knowledge of Insurance Industry administrative processes
- Be knowledgeable with the use of CRM systemss
- Good knowledge of the business administration platforms
- Familiar with Compliance Processes and Procedures in the Insurance Industry
- Familiar with the business products and their rules and workings Your duties will include:
- Communicating with stakeholders in claims such as claims assessors, funeral claims assessors and underwriters
- Synopsizing all the medical reports and claim documents into the standardized company document and record all the necessary and important information that is needed in the assessment of the claim
- To update the pipeline tracker or any other systems/database on a regular basis to ensure client accounts are up to date
- Processing forms, instructions, applications etc requested by financial advisers for the processes that you participate in
- Dealing with claims related queries internally or externally
- Ensure that process is completed within the required SLA
- Identifying and reporting on service failures and errors
- Provide clients with the organisation's service and product information when required
- Provide input to the effectiveness and soundness of policies and procedures for processes
- Ensuring that all correspondence is professional and in line with standards and protocols of the organisation
- Adherence to the client operations area's processes and Activity Work Instructions
- Adherence to organisations compliance processes and policies
- Punctual follow-up and feedback on client’s queries

Skills -
MS Office and PC literate
- Numeracy

Your Qualifications and experience
- Grade 12
- Degree or diploma (Beneficial)
- NQF Level 5 Accreditation (Beneficial)
- At least 2 years’ experience in long-term claims administrative position
