Assistant Resident Manager

SUMMARY:
A large luxury hospitality property in the Bela Bela region is seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Resident Manager to join the management team.
This role is ideally suited to a strong Rooms Division professional with experience in large hotel or lodge operations. The successful candidate will support the Resident Manager in overseeing daily operations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and departmental excellence across the property.
The property operates with a large staff complement and management structure, requiring a confident leader with excellent organisational, operational, and people management skills.
This role specifically requires a mature and experienced hospitality professional who has worked within large, high-occupancy properties catering to international guests. The successful candidate must be able to perform well under pressure, be a strong team player, and bring fresh ideas and elevated standards to the operation.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager, Assistant Resident Manager, or similar role
- Strong Rooms Division background essential
- Previous experience in a large hotel or lodge operation essential
- Proven leadership and team management ability
- Strong understanding of Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, and Spa operations
- Excellent guest relations and communication skills
- Sound financial understanding including budgeting and revenue management
- Opera Cloud experience essential
- Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Professional, organised, and service-driven approach
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Resident Manager in overseeing all lodge operations
- Focus on Rooms Division including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, and Spa
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and service delivery standards
- Assist with revenue optimisation, occupancy, and operational profitability
- Lead, motivate, and support departmental teams
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure operational standards are maintained
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, procedures, and health & safety standards
- Monitor guest feedback and proactively resolve concerns
- Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and service providers
- Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance management
- Stay updated on hospitality industry trends and operational improvements
- Relief the Resident Manager when required
