SUMMARY:
To assist the Packing Supervisor in all aspects of production processes and to ensure that the shift

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To assist the Packing Supervisor in all aspects of production processes and to ensure that the shift team are efficiently and effectively supervised in order to meet production objectives from a quantity and quality perspective within the appropriate time scales and following the agreed standards.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Preferably NQF4 or equivalent
Matric
Previous Supervisory experience in a similar environment
Understanding of the production functions and processes and how these work together
A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience
Flexile to working shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Packing Supervisor on verifying the ready to pack totals at the beginning and end of each shift
Timeous reporting of faults or maintenance required must be evident with a proactive stance
Ensure that labels are printed, checked and available on time
Assist Packing Supervisor with line clearances and follow up on metal checks
Ensure that all inserts issued to the shifts must be check and verified as per the insert procedures
Ensure all relevant works orders are closed timeously and production reports are completed are as per management requirements
Ensure that all iComply checks are completed timeously and accurately 100% of the time
Adherence to HACCP & AIB standards timeously and accurately to ensure accreditation is achieved
Attending to staff performance and conduct issues as they arise in an appropriate and acceptable manner
Ensuring that employees are motivated to perform their duties and managed accordingly
