SUMMARY:
Assistant Manager: Credit Controller - Johannesburg

POSITION INFO:

Duties / Responsibilities:

ØMonitoring of all collection streams.

ØDaily monitoring of all department processes to ensure that they are actioned as per the required deadlines.

ØImplement actions plan to reduce arrears / improve cash collections.

ØMonitoring collections on legal accounts.

ØMonitoring of accounts handed over to Legal.

ØEnsure that all supervisors / staff work has been completed monthly and on time.

ØMaintain personal files for supervisors.

ØEnsure that the companies disciplinary code is being adhered to by supervisors.

ØEnsure that all companies process and procedures are being followed by the supervisors.

ØPerformance management - Review of KPA''s.

ØEnsure that coaching is done on all levels.

ØImplementation of new collection streams.

ØAssist Credit manager with adhoc projects.

ØManage relationships with both external & internal clients.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

ØMinimum of Matric with 8 years’ experience in a Full Function Credit Control environment.

ØMinimum of 5 year’s management experience or relevant Diploma (would be advantageous).

ØComputer literacy: MS-Office Suite (Advanced ability with Excel essential).

ØExposure to high volume corporate and consumer accounts and reconciliations.

ØExcellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

ØA self-starter that uses their Initiative and is deadline driven with excellent planning skills (Proven track record is required).

ØAbility to work under pressure.

ØKnowledge of contracts and disputes.

ØKnowledge of credit vetting.

ØKnowledge of collection processes would be advantageous.

ØSuccessfully adapts to changing demands and conditions.

ØHigh attention to detail, enthusiastic, committed and reliable.

ØLateral thinking abilities.
