SUMMARY:

Our client in the automotive industry has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified Assistant Manager to join the Production Support Centre based in Durban. This role is also to provide support to customers by overseeing all manufacturing processes and maintain finished safety stocks.



POSITION INFO:

  • Ensure KY meeting are held and reported on
  • Supervise the daily operations and functions of the production team
  • Investigate defective parts on a daily basis and report on findings
  • Maintain and control stock on a daily basis
  • Ensure accuracy of stock received, stored and delivered
  • Effective and timeous communication on all related matters to the customer and supplier
  • Maintain daily production plan and evaluate Team efficiency
  • Adherence to all standard operating procedure (SOP) to including daily safety and quality
  • Responsible for achieving productivity targets and motivating staff
  • Overtime, to support customer demand and ensure continuous customer satisfaction
  • Plan and complete month end stock count, analyses and report all variances
  • Maintain good house keeping apply daily (5S) principles
  • Team kaizen''s and near misses submissions to ensure continuous improvement
  • Report any defects or irregularities to ensure safety and quality is uphold at all times
  • Oversee the delivery to the customer as per order (OE+P&A
  • Inventory Management (Raw Material & Finish Goods) (OE, P&A), Rights parts / Right Quantity / Good quality, Correct assembly of parts as per customer requirements
  • Manage production & other operation
  • Compile Production monthly report for Advics Japan
  • Report daily production & stock level for analysis
  • Administration of Monthly stock take and allocate team members accordingly for accurate stock count
  • Investigate stock count variances and implement countermeasure to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain correct stock level of consumables
  • Manage staff and HR related matters (Annual leave, sick leave and absenteeism)
  • Maintain Health & Safety of Members & minimize impact environment
  • Issue Handling - Ability to handle & Report
