Seeking a dynamic and hospitality-driven Assistant Management Couple to support the day-to-day operations of the lodge. The successful couple will work together to ensure exceptional guest experiences, smooth lodge operations, strong team leadership, and high operational standards across all departments.
This role is ideal for a couple with experience in luxury hospitality, guest relations, lodge operations, reservations, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guiding.
Job Description
Guest Relations & Hosting

• Welcome and host guests throughout their stay
• Ensure guests receive exceptional service and personalised experiences
• Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints professionally
• Assist with guest check-ins and departures
• Maintain high hospitality and service standards

• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the lodge
• Ensure smooth coordination between departments
• Monitor lodge standards, cleanliness, and presentation
• Assist with stock control and ordering procedures
• Support implementation of lodge policies and procedures

• Manage reservations, bookings, and guest correspondence
• Assist with invoicing, reporting, and administration duties
• Coordinate guest activities, transfers, and special requests
• Maintain accurate guest and operational records

• Supervise and motivate lodge staff
• Assist with staff training and development
• Ensure staff adhere to lodge standards and procedures
• Support disciplinary procedures when required

• Assist with restaurant and bar operations
• Ensure excellent dining experiences for guests
• Monitor service delivery and presentation standards
• Assist with stock counts and controls

• Identify and report maintenance issues
• Assist with basic lodge maintenance oversight
• Ensure lodge facilities and equipment remain in excellent condition
• Support reserve and operational activities where needed

• Assist with guided activities or transfers where qualified
• Step into various operational roles when required
• Promote the lodge and its guest experience positively at all times

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, lodge, or luxury guest lodge management
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar assistant management role
• Excellent guest relations and hosting skills
• Strong administration and organisational abilities
• Experience with reservations systems and OTA platforms advantageous
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations
• Housekeeping management experience advantageous
• Maintenance knowledge and problem-solving abilities beneficial
• Valid driver’s licence essential
• PDP and guiding qualifications advantageous
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and manage staff effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-presented, professional, and guest-focused
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hospitality hours
• Passion for conservation, hospitality, and guest experiences
