Job Duties:
- Assist the Hospitality Manager in daily operations and management of the lodge
- Coordinate and supervise staff members to ensure excellent customer service
- Oversee reservations, check-ins, and check-outs of guests
- Maintain lodge facilities and ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
- Assist in creating and implementing marketing and promotional strategies
- Manage inventory, supplies, and budgeting for the lodge
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or tourism role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications in hospitality management are desirable.
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service principles
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used in the industry
- Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving common goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Additional certifications in areas such as food safety or first aid
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place in a lodge setting, involving varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- This is a live in role that will be on a 6 week on 2 week off cycle
- Preferably looking for a candidate from the Eastern Cape and if you have a parnter that is a qualified feild guide even better.
