SUMMARY:
Our client in the hospitality sector, based in Grahamstown, seeks to employ an Assistant General Manager. This is a live-in position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Ensuring operational efficiencies throughout product.
Drive and sustain superior levels of guest service and guest satisfaction.
Play a strong role in contributing to the direction and culture of the organisation.
Training, mentoring, and monitoring of middle management, especially (but not only) lodge and villa managers.
Play a key role in interacting with guests regularly and ensure that all aspects of a guests’ stay are being catered to, and that pertinent information is transferred to the relevant department heads timeously.
Contribute to the creation, implementation and monitoring of budgets throughout the hospitality product.
Communicate courageously, frequently and respectfully with all members of the team.

Requirements:

Experience in a senior management role within a luxury safari operation for more than 3 years.
Any relevant hospitality qualifications will be advantageous.
Highly computer literate.
Excellent English in verbal and written format.
Experience in HR management and stock control management
Ability to contribute to and analyse financial information
