POSITION INFO:

Are you a finance professional with a solid foundation and the ambition to step into a more senior role? This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Financial Manager to work alongside experienced finance leadership and gain broad exposure across the finance function within a growing Gauteng-based business.

Company and Role Overview:

Reporting into the Financial Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and reliable insight to support business performance. The position is ideal for someone ready to move beyond execution and become more involved in planning, analysis, and decision support.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory requirements
Assist with audits and external stakeholder engagement
Help maintain and improve financial controls and processes
Provide timely and accurate financial support to management

Minimum Requirements:

Finance / Accounting Degree preferred
2+ years’ relevant financial experience
NonâCA candidates encouraged to apply
Experience with management accounts and reporting
Exposure to a commercial or operational environment advantageous

Systems & Technical Skills:

Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills
Strong understanding of core finance principles
