Assistant Financial Controller

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily banking processes and reconcile cashbook balances.
• Oversee foreign exchange transactions and banking administration.
• Monitor and control stock for operational materials and supplies.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with finance administration and compliance requirements.
• Liaise with operational departments to ensure effective financial controls.
• Support process improvements and maintain strong internal controls.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BCom Accounting, Finance, or a related financial qualification is essential.
• Previous experience in an Assistant Financial Controller, Accountant, or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of banking, cashbook reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with foreign exchange transactions will be advantageous.
• Exposure to stock control and inventory management is essential.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
