SUMMARY:

A wellâestablished organisation is seeking an ambitious Junior Financial Manager to support the Financial Manager within a fastâpaced, multinational environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who is ready to step into a managementâtrack position, gain exposure to international reporting and foreign exchange, and grow into a senior finance role.
You will be involved in core accounting operations while supporting oversight, review processes, and crossâborder financial activities.

POSITION INFO:

ð¯ Role Purpose

Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, the Junior Financial Manager will assist in managing the accounting function up to trial balance, support foreign currency and interâcompany accounting, and contribute to accurate international and statutory reporting. This role offers excellent exposure to multinational finance while building leadership and review capability.

ð Key Responsibilities

Support the Financial Manager with oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions
Assist with foreign exchange transactions, monthly revaluations, and currency updates
Support the management and reconciliation of international interâcompany accounts
Assist with SARB compliance and documentation for crossâborder payments
Prepare and review inputs for international financial reporting (e.g. HFM or similar systems)
Maintain general ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals, and monthly provisions
Analyse monthly expenses and support MTD / YTD variance analysis
Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register and GL reconciliations
Support banking administration, electronic payments, forex petty cash, and credit card reconciliations
Process payroll journals and thirdâparty statutory payments
Prepare VAT and EMP201 submissions and assist with tax schedules and queries
Support internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal controls
Act as a strong deputy to the Financial Manager and support team workflow where required

ð Qualifications & Skills

BCom Accounting (essential)
CA(SA), SAIPA, or CIMA qualification or progress toward one (advantageous)
2–4 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or multiâcurrency environment
Exposure to forex accounting, interâcompany transactions, VAT, and tax
Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, basic analysis)
Experience working on ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, Sage, or similar
