SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in George. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, computer literate, and able to work both independently and within a team environment. This role requires strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting processes.

POSITION INFO:
Description:

Assist with daily accounting functions, including data capturing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with VAT, invoicing, and general ledger management.
Compile and analyse financial data in Excel for management reporting.
Provide administrative and accounting support to the finance department as required.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
Strong computer literacy, with above-average Excel (XLS) abilities.
Reliable, hardworking, and detail oriented.
Willingness to work after hours when needed.
Self-driven with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Must have own transport.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration:

Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
