Assisant Guesthouse Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established guesthouse in the White River region is seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the property.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong guest relations, operational, and administrative skills who enjoys working closely with guests and staff to ensure exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, maintaining guest satisfaction, and ensuring the smooth running of the guesthouse.
Candidates must be available for an immediate start.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENT:
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Must be available immediately
- Previous experience in a guesthouse, lodge, hotel, or hospitality management role essential
- Strong guest relations and customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good administration and organisational skills
- Computer literacy essential
- Experience with reservations and booking systems advantageous
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional presentation and guest-focused approach
- Valid Driver's License advantageous
- Ability to work well under pressure in a hospitality environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the daily management and operation of the guesthouse
- Welcome and host guests, ensuring exceptional service throughout their stay
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs
- Handle reservations, enquiries, and booking administration
- Assist with housekeeping coordination and room inspections
- Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally
- Ensure guest areas and facilities are maintained to a high standard
- Support staff supervision, training, and performance management
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
- Maintain operational records, reports, and administrative processes
- Ensure compliance with guesthouse policies and service standards
PACKAGE:
- R15,000 – R18,000 per month (Negotiable DOE)
- Live-in accommodation provided
- Meals for own account
- Work cycle: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
