A reputable concern in the financial services industry is looking for an Asset Controller to join their team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Asset Controller will be responsible for maintaining the correct accounting and recording of assets on the fixed asset register and assisting the management accountant and the group head of finance. The Asset Controller will be responsible for managing the spending of the CAPEX budget pool, maintaining good stakeholder relationships, and implementing the fixed asset management. The Asset Controller will also provide input and make recommendations.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
Completed SAICA articles

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 2-3 years’ post article experience
Experience in the financial services industry is preferred
Working knowledge with asset control/fixed assets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience dealing with the fixed asset register and CAPEX
Strong business acumen
