SUMMARY:
Are you a well season desktop support consultant looking to join a well-established automotive company? Our client is seeking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support consultant to join their IT team in Johannesburg East. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all end-user IT support issues, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of desktop, software, and hardware issues across the business.

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a leading player in the automotive industry, providing innovative dealership management solutions and aftersales support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first and second-line desktop support for end users (onsite and remote).
Install, configure, and maintain desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, and other business applications.
Assist with user account management in Active Directory, Exchange, and other systems.
Perform routine maintenance and updates of hardware and software.
Respond to and resolve IT service tickets in a timely manner, ensuring documentation is up-to-date.
Set up and manage video conferencing tools and boardroom technology.
Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and audits.
Support users in accordance with company IT policies and procedures.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

3–5 years' experience in a Desktop Support or IT Support Consultant role.
Proven experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Office 365, and desktop hardware.
Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
IT-related diploma or degree (e.g., in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar).
Must be willing to work after-hours or on weekends when required.
